The Greatest Achievement in My Life So Far

I am 20 years old now so obviously I have already had some successful experience and some failure as well. But if you ask me what is my greatest achievement, my answer is to have this chance studying in the US.
As my mother is an English teacher in China, I was influenced by her since I was about 6 years old in learning English. So I always get a decent grade in my English class. But as the time past, I paid less and less attention on my English studying. Consequently, my English got worse than the people around me in my university. All of a sudden, I found a notice on the official web site of my university and it said we will have an exchange program with Mansfield University. That is a stimulus for me because I do really want to have the experience of studying abroad to see a different world and simultaneously to experience the difference in culture between eastern countries and western’s. So I became industrious in English class and used almost all of part time on English to remember the new words and to talk to the foreigners in the English corner in my university and my English also progressed rapidly.
At last, I got participated the interview for electing the student who would be in the exchange program. Even though I was a bit nervous at the beginning, I got in the situation soon. I have to say the process was fluent and I caught this chance ultimately! So, where there is will, there is a way!

I do really want Chinese food

Since I came to the America, I have experienced a lot differences between the Chinese culture and the American culture. However, I felt the gap between the Chinese culture and the American culture is not as difficult as I imagined before so that I am getting accustomed to the culture in the America gradually. But if you ask me what is the most difficult change in the culture I have so far, my response will be the food. The food in China is extremely distinct from what in America because we Chinese always treat the rice as our principal food but the Americans almost don’t have that for meal. So in everyday we have to eat burg, pizza or bread as our principal food. Another reason is that despite we see the rice on the table, eventually we don’t like that kind of rice cause it is so sweet but Chinese barely put sugar in rice. Meanwhile Americans like to have raw vegetables but Chinese like to have everything cooked. So maybe the food is a problem for me that I have to get used to but in generally, the culture here is acceptable to me.

To experience difference in America!

America is a country with multiculture,advanced technology and most sophisticated economic system in this world. So there are too much that I want to experience here besides going to college!
Since I major in Economics, studying in America supplyed me a fantasitic opportunity to acquire the konwledge of the economy in this country. As America has such a lot famous companies like Microsoft,IBM,Coca Cola and many financial companies with a termenduos reputation like City Bank and so on. I was eagerly to have a tour to visit these companies and konw why they can gain this fame and have the sustainnable advantage competive. To understand their advanced technology even the inovation in management which are lacked of by companies in China!
Meanwhile the Americans do really know how to enjoy their life with different kinds of amusement or recreation like some traditional foods festival held in some small towns and party! I suppose to go to hollywood and maybe I could see some movie stars that you can barely see them in China is also a amazing experience!
So generally speaking, I just want to ecperience difference in America!
